Elvis Perkins- While You Were Sleeping

I’m a sad cliché, I suppose, and I’m getting predictable in my old age, but I still get some sort of joy out of playing Elvis Perkins’ first LP, Ash Wednesday, on the day for which it is partly named.  I don’t feel so bad about it, though, because it’s a great record.  Also, it’s entirely fitting for Lent, if you swing that way.
